Easy and fun pops perfect for celebrating the 4th of July.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (12 ounce) package white candy melts
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
  • 1 (12 ounce) package red candy melts
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
  • 1 (12 ounce) package blue candy melts
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable shortening
  • Cookie sticks


Instructions

  1. Melt white candy melts with 2 tablespoons shortening in a microwave-safe bowl according to package directions.
  2. Dip cookie sticks into melted white candy and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Chill until firm, about 10 minutes.
  4. Melt red candy melts with 2 tablespoons shortening in a microwave-safe bowl according to package directions.
  5. Dip the white-coated cookie sticks halfway into the red candy.
  6. Chill until firm, about 10 minutes.
  7. Melt blue candy melts with 2 tablespoons shortening in a microwave-safe bowl according to package directions.
  8. Dip the remaining half of the red-coated cookie sticks into the blue candy.
  9. Chill until firm, about 10 minutes.

Notes

  • Make sure to melt the candy melts slowly to prevent burning.
  • You can use any type of cookie stick you prefer.
