Description

Crispy, flavorful buffalo chicken wings made easy in your air fryer. Perfect for game day or a tasty snack, these wings are a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot sauce
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels. This is key for crispiness!
  2. In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  4. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. While the wings are cooking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the hot sauce, melted butter, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir until well combined.
  6. Once the wings are cooked and crispy, transfer them to a clean large bowl.
  7. Pour the buffalo sauce over the hot wings and toss gently to coat each wing evenly.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious homemade buffalo wings!

Notes

  • For extra crispy wings, you can preheat your air fryer for 3-5 minutes before adding the wings.
  • If you don’t have Frank’s RedHot, any cayenne pepper-based hot sauce will work. Adjust the amount to your spice preference.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce like ranch or blue cheese dressing, and celery sticks for a classic pairing.
