Description
Crispy, flavorful buffalo chicken wings made easy in your air fryer. Perfect for game day or a tasty snack, these wings are a crowd-pleaser.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot sauce
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
Instructions
- Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels. This is key for crispiness!
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- While the wings are cooking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the hot sauce, melted butter, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir until well combined.
- Once the wings are cooked and crispy, transfer them to a clean large bowl.
- Pour the buffalo sauce over the hot wings and toss gently to coat each wing evenly.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious homemade buffalo wings!
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, you can preheat your air fryer for 3-5 minutes before adding the wings.
- If you don’t have Frank’s RedHot, any cayenne pepper-based hot sauce will work. Adjust the amount to your spice preference.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce like ranch or blue cheese dressing, and celery sticks for a classic pairing.
