Description
Make savory, cheesy stuffed mushrooms quickly in your air fryer using a simple garlic butter base.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 large white button mushrooms
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for texture)
Instructions
- Clean the mushrooms and gently remove the stems. Chop the stems finely and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Brush the inside of the mushroom caps lightly with this garlic butter mixture.
- In a separate bowl, combine the chopped mushroom stems, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped parsley. If using, mix in the breadcrumbs.
- Spoon the cheese and stem mixture evenly into the mushroom caps, packing lightly.
- Arrange the stuffed mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the mushrooms are tender.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese to the filling mixture.
- If you prefer a crispier top, sprinkle a tiny amount of extra cheddar over the filling halfway through the cooking time.
- Use cremini mushrooms if you prefer a deeper mushroom flavor.
