Description
Make crispy, flavorful broccolini quickly using your air fryer. This recipe uses lemon pepper seasoning for a bright, zesty finish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bunch broccolini (about 8 oz)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (for finishing)
Instructions
- Wash and thoroughly dry the broccolini. Pat the florets and stems completely dry with paper towels; this helps achieve crispiness.
- Trim off the tough ends of the stems.
- Place the dried broccolini in a medium bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss until lightly coated.
- Sprinkle the lemon pepper seasoning and optional salt over the broccolini. Toss again to distribute the seasoning evenly.
- Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the seasoned broccolini in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding. Work in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket vigorously halfway through the cooking time.
- Check for doneness; the broccolini should be tender-crisp with slightly charred edges.
- Remove from the air fryer, place in a serving dish, and immediately drizzle with fresh lemon juice. Serve hot.
Notes
- Drying the broccolini is the most important step for achieving a crispy texture.
- For extra char, cook at 400°F (205°C) for the last 2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- If you do not have lemon pepper seasoning, use 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest.
