Description

Make fall-inspired apple cider glazed pork chops. This skillet recipe features seared pork chops finished in a sweet and tangy apple cider and Dijon mustard glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat pork chops dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove chops from skillet and set aside.
  4. Pour apple cider into the skillet. Bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Stir in Dijon mustard, brown sugar, and dried thyme. Whisk until well combined.
  6. Return pork chops to the skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low.
  7. Simmer for 8-10 minutes, or until pork chops are cooked through and the glaze has thickened. Flip chops occasionally to coat evenly.
  8. Serve immediately with the apple cider glaze.

Notes

  • Adjust brown sugar to your sweetness preference.
  • For a thicker glaze, simmer longer.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
