Description

Make delicious apple fries with a creamy caramel dipping sauce. This recipe is simple to follow and perfect for a fun fall treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large Granny Smith apples
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • For the Caramel Cream Dip:
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Peel, core, and slice the apples into 1/2-inch thick fry-shaped sticks.
  3. In a medium bowl, toss the apple slices with melted butter until evenly coated.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture over the buttered apple slices and toss again to coat.
  5. Arrange the apple fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet (for oven) or in the air fryer basket.
  6. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and lightly browned. If using an air fryer, cook for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket occasionally, until crisp.
  7. While the apple fries are cooking, prepare the caramel cream dip. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  8. Add the caramel sauce, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Beat until well combined and creamy.
  9. Serve the warm apple fries with the caramel cream dip on the side.

Notes

  • For extra crisp apple fries, ensure they are in a single layer and not overcrowded during cooking.
  • Adjust the amount of cinnamon and sugar to your liking.
  • The caramel cream dip can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
