Description

Create a creamy, dairy-free ice cream using ripe avocados and sweet chocolate chips. This recipe is surprisingly easy and results in a delightful frozen treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe avocados, pitted and scooped
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Combine the avocado, milk, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract in a blender.
  2. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. During the last few minutes of churning, add the mini chocolate chips.
  5. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2-3 hours, or until firm.

Notes

  • Ensure your avocados are very ripe for the best creamy texture.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sweetened condensed milk.
  • If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can freeze the mixture in a shallow pan, stirring vigorously every 30-45 minutes until frozen.
