Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes (with their juice), beef broth, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese and mini pepperoni evenly over the top.
- Top with the crumbled bacon.
- Cover and cook for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- For an extra cheesy pizza, add a layer of mozzarella cheese along with the cheddar.
- Serve with your favorite pizza toppings like sliced olives or jalapeños.
- This dish is great served on its own or with a side salad.
