- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 (28 ounce) cans pork and beans, drained
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain off excess grease.
- Add chopped onion to the skillet with the ground beef and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the cooked and crumbled bacon, brown sugar, ketchup, molasses, apple cider vinegar, mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Gently stir in the drained pork and beans.
- Pour the mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of brown sugar for your preferred sweetness.
- Feel free to add other types of beans like kidney beans or butter beans.
