Description
Bake tender, flaky salmon fillets coated in a simple honey garlic butter glaze. This recipe is fast, flavorful, and perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1/2 lemon, sliced (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and Dijon mustard until combined.
- Spoon the honey garlic mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
- Sprinkle the salt and pepper over the glazed salmon.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque throughout and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
- Remove from the oven. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon slices.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes to slightly caramelize the glaze, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- This recipe works well for meal prepping; store cooled salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- If you prefer a lemon-forward flavor, substitute 1 teaspoon of the soy sauce with fresh lemon juice.
