Description
Make crispy salmon bites coated in a spicy, creamy Bang Bang sauce. This recipe is quick and suitable for an appetizer or a light meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lb salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to your spice preference)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Toss the salmon cubes with olive oil, salt, and pepper on a clean surface or in a bowl.
- Arrange the seasoned salmon cubes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and slightly firm.
- While the salmon bakes, prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, lemon juice, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Remove the cooked salmon bites from the oven.
- Place the hot salmon bites into a large bowl. Pour the Bang Bang sauce over the salmon. Gently toss until all the bites are evenly coated.
- Serve immediately as an appetizer or over rice or salad greens.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can air fry the salmon cubes at 380°F (195°C) for 8 minutes before tossing with the sauce.
- If you prefer a milder sauce, reduce the sriracha to 1/2 tablespoon.
- Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds before serving.
