Description
A straightforward recipe for baking bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs until crispy and juicy.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. This helps the skin crisp up.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Rub the oil and spice mixture evenly over the chicken thighs, making sure to coat the skin well.
- Place the chicken thighs skin-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a wire rack set over a baking sheet.
- Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius) and the skin is golden brown and crisp.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispy skin, you can place the chicken under the broiler for the last 2-3 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- You can substitute other dried herbs like dried thyme or rosemary with the paprika.
