Description
A refreshing twist on a classic julep, featuring sweet blueberries and fresh mint.

- 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
- 6-8 fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish
- 1 tablespoon simple syrup (or to taste)
- 2 ounces bourbon
- Crushed ice
Instructions
- In a julep cup or rocks glass, gently muddle the blueberries and mint leaves with the simple syrup.
- Fill the glass with crushed ice.
- Pour the bourbon over the ice.
- Stir gently until the outside of the glass is frosted.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a few extra blueberries, if desired.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of simple syrup based on your preference for sweetness.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the bourbon and top with sparkling water or club soda.
- You can make simple syrup by heating equal parts sugar and water until the sugar dissolves, then letting it cool.
