Description

These monster cookies are perfect for boat trips. They are easy to make and transport, and everyone loves them.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 cup M&M’s


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, baking powder, salt, and flour. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in the rolled oats, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and M&M’s.
  6. Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • You can substitute other types of chips or candies for the chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, or M&M’s.
  • For a chewier cookie, use quick oats instead of rolled oats.
  • These cookies freeze well. Place cooled cookies in a single layer in a freezer-safe container or bag.
