Description

A layered dip featuring spicy Buffalo chicken flavor, assembled in seven distinct layers for easy serving at parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup Buffalo wing sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and Buffalo wing sauce until smooth. This forms the base layer.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the bottom of a 9×13 inch serving dish.
  3. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the cream cheese layer.
  4. In a separate bowl, toss the shredded chicken with the ranch dressing. Spread this chicken mixture evenly over the cheese layer.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken layer.
  6. Sprinkle the blue cheese crumbles evenly over the second cheese layer.
  7. Top the dip with the chopped celery and chopped green onions as the final layer.
  8. Chill the dip for at least one hour before serving to allow the layers to set.

Notes

  • You can serve this dip cold or allow it to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving.
  • For a warmer dip, bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes after assembling, then top with fresh celery and onions before serving.
  • Serve with tortilla chips, sturdy crackers, or vegetable sticks.
