Description
A simple, creamy, and cheesy recipe for baked Buffalo Chicken Dip, perfect for parties or game days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cooked, shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup Buffalo wing sauce (use Frank’s Red Hot for classic flavor)
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese, divided
- 2 tablespoons blue cheese crumbles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded chicken, Buffalo wing sauce, and ranch or blue cheese dressing. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Stir in 3/4 cup of the shredded cheese and the blue cheese crumbles, if using.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Top the dip with the remaining 1/4 cup of shredded cheese.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is heated through and the cheese on top is melted and bubbly.
- Let the dip cool for 5 minutes before serving hot.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, add 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the mixture.
- You can prepare the dip mixture ahead of time, cover it, and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours. Add about 5 extra minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the refrigerator.
- Serve this dip hot with tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, or sturdy crackers.
