Description
Simple recipe for baked buffalo chicken sliders using Hawaiian rolls, perfect for parties or quick meals.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs cooked, shredded chicken breast
- 1 cup buffalo wing sauce
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until the chicken is evenly coated.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected if possible. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.
- Spoon the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom layer of rolls. If using, sprinkle blue cheese crumbles over the chicken.
- Place the top half of the rolls over the chicken mixture.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with any remaining buffalo sauce or a pinch of garlic powder. Brush this mixture evenly over the top of the rolls.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the filling is hot throughout.
- Slice the sliders apart and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a tangier sauce, add 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to the chicken mixture.
- Serve with celery sticks or extra ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
- If you prefer a spicier slider, increase the amount of buffalo sauce or add a dash of cayenne pepper to the mix.
