Description

Create an elegant appetizer with this simple Burrata & Prosciutto Crostini recipe. It’s perfect for entertaining, bringing together creamy burrata, salty prosciutto, and crusty bread for a delightful bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices baguette
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces burrata cheese
  • 4 ounces prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • Balsamic glaze, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brush both sides of the baguette slices with olive oil.
  3. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until lightly golden and crisp.
  4. Once cooled slightly, spread a generous amount of burrata cheese on each crostini.
  5. Drape a slice of prosciutto over the burrata.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  7. Drizzle with balsamic glaze just before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can rub a clove of garlic on the toasted baguette slices before adding the burrata.
  • If you don’t have balsamic glaze, you can reduce balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan until slightly thickened.
  • Feel free to add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
