- 4 cups peeled, cored, and diced apples (about 4 medium apples)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the diced apples and 1/2 cup of caramel sauce.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, drizzle with additional caramel sauce before cutting into bars.

- You can use your favorite variety of apples for this recipe. Granny Smith apples will give a nice tartness, while Honeycrisp or Fuji apples will be sweeter.
