Description
You will love this simple Cheddar Bacon Ranch Chicken Bake. It layers creamy ranch, savory bacon, and melted cheddar over tender chicken for a comforting meal that cooks quickly in the oven.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 (1 oz) packet dry Ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked, crumbled bacon
- 1/4 cup milk (optional, for thinning)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Place the chicken pieces in the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the Ranch seasoning mix and heavy cream until smooth. If the mixture seems too thick, add a splash of milk.
- Pour the cream mixture evenly over the chicken in the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the chicken and cream mixture.
- Top with the crumbled bacon.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F or 74°C) and the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
- Let the bake rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can use chicken tenders instead of breasts for a quicker bake time.
- For extra flavor, add a layer of sliced tomatoes before the cheese.
- This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or a side salad.
