Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 (4 oz) can diced green chiles, drained
- 1 (4 oz) can diced jalapeños, drained (use less for milder heat)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small oven-safe dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in the drained green chiles, drained jalapeños, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well to distribute the spices and peppers evenly.
- Spread the dip mixture into your prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the Monterey Jack cheese over the top of the dip.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly around the edges and the topping is melted.
- Let the dip cool for about 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks.
Notes
- For an extra rich flavor, you can bake this dip in a small slow cooker on low for about 1 hour instead of the oven.
- If you prefer a smoother texture, you can melt the cream cheese and cheddar cheese together on the stovetop before mixing in the other ingredients.
- Adjust the amount of jalapeños based on how spicy you want your dip to be. Remember, a little goes a long way!
