Description

This Cheesy Jalapeño Dip is the perfect warm, comforting party snack. It is simple to make, full of flavor, and guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser when you need something quick and delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (4 oz) can diced green chiles, drained
  • 1 (4 oz) can diced jalapeños, drained (use less for milder heat)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small oven-safe dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth.
  3. Stir in the drained green chiles, drained jalapeños, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well to distribute the spices and peppers evenly.
  4. Spread the dip mixture into your prepared baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the Monterey Jack cheese over the top of the dip.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly around the edges and the topping is melted.
  7. Let the dip cool for about 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • For an extra rich flavor, you can bake this dip in a small slow cooker on low for about 1 hour instead of the oven.
  • If you prefer a smoother texture, you can melt the cream cheese and cheddar cheese together on the stovetop before mixing in the other ingredients.
  • Adjust the amount of jalapeños based on how spicy you want your dip to be. Remember, a little goes a long way!
