Ingredients
Scale
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup ranch dressing
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping the rolls connected in one piece. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, ranch dressing, Monterey Jack cheese, and cheddar cheese. Mix until everything is evenly coated.
- Spoon the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom half of the rolls in the baking dish.
- Place the top half of the rolls over the filling.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, dried minced onion, and garlic powder.
- Brush the butter mixture evenly over the top of the rolls.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 15 minutes covered.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly golden brown.
- Slice the rolls apart between the individual servings before serving hot.
Notes
- Use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken to save time.
- For extra flavor, brush melted butter mixed with a pinch of poppy seeds over the tops before the final bake.
- Hawaiian sweet rolls work best for this recipe due to their texture and slight sweetness.
