This easy copycat recipe combines juicy grapes with a rich dressing made from cream cheese and sour cream, topped with crunchy pecans and brown sugar. It is a perfect, refreshing side dish for potlucks or holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds seedless grapes (a mix of red and green works best)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until it is smooth.
- Add the sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix until the dressing is completely smooth and creamy.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until all the grapes are evenly coated.
- Spread the grape mixture into a serving dish.
- In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans and brown sugar. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the salad.
- Cover the dish and chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.
Notes
- For the best texture, make sure your cream cheese is fully softened before mixing the dressing.
- You can prepare this salad up to 24 hours ahead of time. Keep it covered in the refrigerator.
- If you want a lighter version, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
- This salad is excellent served chilled as a sweet side dish or a light dessert.
