Description
Make fun Chocolate Dipped Marshmallow Pops. These treats are simple to prepare and perfect for kids. Follow our tips for a smooth chocolate coating every time.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag (10 oz) large marshmallows
- 12 lollipop sticks
- 12 oz chocolate melting wafers (milk, semi-sweet, or white)
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for thinning chocolate)
- Assorted sprinkles or toppings (optional)
Instructions
- Insert one lollipop stick into the center of each marshmallow, pushing it about halfway through.
- Melt the chocolate wafers according to package directions. If the chocolate is too thick, stir in the coconut oil one teaspoon at a time until smooth.
- Hold a marshmallow pop by the stick and dip it into the melted chocolate, rotating to coat completely. Let excess chocolate drip off briefly.
- Immediately sprinkle or top the wet chocolate with your chosen toppings, if using.
- Place the coated marshmallow pops on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Let the chocolate set completely at room temperature or chill in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes until firm.
Notes
- For the best coating, make sure your marshmallows are completely dry before dipping.
- If the chocolate starts to thicken while you work, gently reheat it in short bursts.
- You can dip the pops halfway for a two-tone look.
- Use different colors of melting wafers for a festive appearance.
