Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (16.5 ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Open the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into four equal pieces.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Melt the butter in a separate shallow bowl.
- Dip each biscuit piece into the melted butter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Roll the butter-coated biscuit pieces in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well covered.
- Place the coated biscuit pieces onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between them.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let them cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving.
Notes
- For an extra chewy pretzel, you can boil the biscuit pieces in a baking soda solution (1/4 cup baking soda in 4 cups of water) for 30 seconds before buttering and coating.
- Feel free to add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon sugar mixture for added warmth.
- These are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat briefly in the oven or microwave if desired.
