Description

Make a thick and creamy smoothie featuring blueberries and banana. This recipe is quick to prepare and works well for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 large frozen banana, broken into chunks
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen blueberries, frozen banana chunks, Greek yogurt, milk, honey (if using), and vanilla extract into a high-speed blender.
  2. Start blending on a low speed, gradually increasing to high speed.
  3. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and thick. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula.
  4. If the smoothie is too thick, add milk one tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  5. Pour into a glass and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use frozen fruit for the thickest, creamiest texture without needing ice.
  • For a higher protein version, add one scoop of your preferred protein powder with the other ingredients.
  • Substitute Greek yogurt with silken tofu for a dairy-free creamy base.
