This easy 7-Layer Dip is a crowd-pleasing favorite perfect for parties and gatherings. Layers of delicious ingredients create a flavorful and satisfying dip.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
  • 1 packet (1.25 ounces) taco seasoning
  • 1 container (8 ounces) sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch dressing mix
  • 2 avocados, mashed
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the refried beans and taco seasoning. Spread the mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch serving dish.
  2. In another small bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, and ranch dressing mix. Spread this layer over the refried bean mixture.
  3. In a medium bowl, mash the avocados with the lime juice, salt, and pepper. Spread the avocado mixture over the sour cream layer.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the avocado layer.
  5. Top the cheese layer with the shredded lettuce.
  6. Scatter the chopped tomatoes over the lettuce.
  7. Finish with the sliced black olives and green onions, if using.
  8. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can customize the layers with your favorite toppings.
  • For extra spice, add a layer of pickled jalapeños.
