Description
Prepare moist, flaky salmon with a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze using this simple baking method.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs salmon fillets, skin on or off
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, dried ginger, and black pepper to make the glaze.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spoon or brush half of the honey garlic glaze evenly over the top of the salmon fillets.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
- Remove the salmon from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the cooked salmon.
- Garnish with fresh lemon slices before serving.
Notes
- For extra caramelization, switch the oven to broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, simmer the glaze mixture on the stovetop for 2 minutes before brushing it on the salmon.
- You can substitute brown sugar for a portion of the honey for a deeper flavor profile.
