Description

Easy No-Bake Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert. It features layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and a creamy mascarpone filling. This simple recipe lets you enjoy a taste of Italy without any baking.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 0.33 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 2 large eggs, separated
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup ladyfingers
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting


Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, combine the cooled coffee and 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and the remaining 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar until pale and creamy.
  3. Gently whisk in the softened mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In a separate clean bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  5. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  6. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  7. Then, carefully fold the beaten egg whites into the mascarpone and cream mixture until just combined.
  8. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
  9. Arrange a single layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  10. Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.
  11. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone cream mixture.
  12. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
  13. Before serving, dust the top generously with unsweetened cocoa powder.
