Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 boneless pork chops
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the pork chops to the hot skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter to the skillet.
- Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, stirring constantly.
- Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let the sauce simmer for 1-2 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over them.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through and the sauce has coated them nicely.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Ensure your skillet is hot before adding the pork chops for a good sear.
- Don’t overcook the pork chops to keep them juicy.
- Feel free to add other herbs like thyme or rosemary to the sauce.
