Description

Enjoy these tender and juicy pork chops, bathed in a flavorful garlic herb butter sauce. This quick skillet dinner is perfect for busy weeknights, bringing a touch of homemade comfort to your table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the pork chops to the hot skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter to the skillet.
  5. Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, stirring constantly.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let the sauce simmer for 1-2 minutes to thicken slightly.
  7. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over them.
  8. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through and the sauce has coated them nicely.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure your skillet is hot before adding the pork chops for a good sear.
  • Don’t overcook the pork chops to keep them juicy.
  • Feel free to add other herbs like thyme or rosemary to the sauce.
