Description
Make this Garlic Butter Shrimp & Rice for a quick, flavorful dinner that tastes like you spent hours cooking. It brings family comfort right to your table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 cups cooked white rice
Instructions
- Pat the shrimp dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for about one minute until fragrant. Do not let it brown.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice. Let it simmer for one minute, scraping up any browned bits.
- Stir in the chopped parsley.
- Serve the shrimp and garlic butter sauce immediately over the cooked rice.
Notes
- You can use frozen shrimp; just thaw and pat them very dry before cooking.
- If you prefer a richer sauce, use half butter and half olive oil.
- Taste the sauce before adding salt; the broth may already contain enough.
