Description

This recipe for Garlic Butter Tilapia is a quick and delicious meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights. You’ll have tender, flaky tilapia fillets coated in a rich garlic butter sauce ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb tilapia fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add tilapia fillets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove tilapia from skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Stir in fresh parsley and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Return the tilapia fillets to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over them.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute other white fish like cod or sole if tilapia is not available.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter sauce.
  • Ensure your garlic is finely minced for the best texture in the sauce.
