Description
Make a rich, creamy garlic parmesan pasta dish using just one pot for easy cleanup.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz linguine or fettuccine pasta
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the pasta, chicken broth, minced garlic, butter, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper into a large pot or Dutch oven.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally to prevent the pasta from sticking.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and continue to simmer, stirring frequently, for about 10 to 12 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked al dente and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
- Remove the pot from the heat. Stir in the heavy cream and the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, simmer for a few extra minutes before adding the cream.
- You can add cooked, shredded chicken during the final step for a complete meal.
- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor in this recipe.
