Description

Roast Brussels sprouts with garlic and Parmesan for a simple, flavorful side dish that’s perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until tender and slightly crispy, flipping halfway through.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  6. Return to oven for 2-3 minutes, or until cheese is melted and lightly browned.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For crispier sprouts, ensure they are dry before tossing with oil.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
  • Other cheeses like Pecorino Romano can be used as a substitute for Parmesan.
