Description

Enjoy these Grilled Fish Tacos with a zesty lime crema. They’re a perfect light and refreshing meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs white fish fillets (like cod, tilapia, or snapper)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8-10 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • Lime wedges for serving
  • For the Lime Crema:
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Brush this mixture evenly over the fish fillets.
  3. Grill the fish for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until it’s cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Let it rest for a few minutes, then flake it into bite-sized pieces.
  4. While the fish is grilling, prepare the lime crema. In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream (or Greek yogurt), lime juice, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  5. Warm the tortillas on the grill or in a dry skillet until pliable.
  6. Assemble the tacos by filling each tortilla with flaked grilled fish, shredded cabbage, chopped cilantro, and diced red onion.
  7. Drizzle generously with the lime crema.
  8. Serve immediately with extra lime wedges on the side.

Notes

  • You can marinate the fish for 15-30 minutes before grilling for extra flavor.
  • Add your favorite taco toppings like avocado, salsa, or jalapeños.
  • If you don’t have a grill, you can pan-sear the fish.
