Create an elegant snack perfect for entertaining or a special treat: Grilled Peach and Burrata Crostini. This recipe balances sweet, creamy, and savory flavors with minimal effort.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 slices rustic bread (about 1/2 inch thick)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
- 1 ball (8 ounces) fresh burrata cheese
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves (optional)
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Brush both sides of the bread slices lightly with olive oil.
- Grill or toast the bread slices until golden brown and crisp. Set aside.
- Lightly brush the cut sides of the peach halves with a little remaining olive oil.
- Grill the peaches cut-side down over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, until grill marks appear and the peaches soften slightly. Remove from heat.
- Slice the grilled peaches into wedges.
- Tear the burrata cheese into pieces and distribute evenly over the toasted bread slices.
- Top each crostini with several slices of grilled peach.
- Drizzle generously with balsamic glaze.
- Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves and a pinch of sea salt. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Choose peaches that are firm but yield slightly to gentle pressure for the best grilling results.
- If you do not have a grill, you can quickly sear the peaches in a hot, dry skillet.
- For an extra layer of flavor, lightly toast the bread with a smear of garlic butter.
- This appetizer is best assembled just before serving to keep the crostini crisp.
