Description
Enjoy a refreshing glass of homemade peach iced tea. This simple recipe uses fresh peaches for a natural sweetness.

- 4 ripe peaches, sliced
- 8 cups water, divided
- 6 black tea bags
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (or to taste)
- Ice
Instructions
- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large pot.
- Add the sliced peaches and sugar to the boiling water.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until the peaches are soft.
- Remove from heat and let the peach mixture steep for 30 minutes.
- Strain the peach mixture, pressing the peaches to extract all the liquid. Discard the solids.
- Bring the remaining 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Remove and discard the tea bags.
- Combine the peach liquid and the brewed tea. Stir well.
- Let the tea cool completely, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Serve over ice.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of sugar to your preference.
- For a stronger peach flavor, use more peaches.
- You can use different types of tea, such as green tea or herbal tea.
- Store leftover iced tea in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
