Description
Make these Hot Honey Brussels Sprouts for a sweet and spicy side dish. They bake up crispy and deliver a burst of flavor that pairs well with almost any meal. You control the heat level.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper on a baking sheet.
- Roast for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are tender and slightly browned.
- While the sprouts roast, whisk together the honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl.
- Remove the sprouts from the oven. Drizzle the hot honey mixture over the hot sprouts and toss gently to coat everything evenly.
- Return the sprouts to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes to let the glaze set.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your flavorful side.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, ensure the sprouts are dry before tossing them with oil.
- Taste the hot honey mixture before glazing; add more hot sauce for more heat or more honey for more sweetness.
- If you prefer a less sticky glaze, reduce the honey slightly.
