Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle the salmon with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and garlic powder.
- Spoon or brush the glaze evenly over the salmon fillets.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The cooking time will depend on the thickness of your fillets.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze.
- If you don’t have Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard can be substituted, but the flavor will be slightly different.
- Ensure your salmon is cooked to your desired doneness. Overcooking can make it dry.
