Description

Marry Me Chicken Pasta is a rich, creamy, and flavorful Italian-American dish, perfect for romantic dinners and special occasions. Made with tender chicken, al dente pasta, and a luscious Parmesan cream sauce, this dish is sure to impress.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or your choice)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and diced onion. Sauté until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the pan.
  6. Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  7. Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet, letting it simmer in the sauce for a few minutes.
  8. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and add it to the skillet.
  9. Toss the pasta in the creamy sauce until fully coated.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
  • Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free pasta.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
