- 2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- Place sweet potato cubes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for about 7-10 minutes, or until fork-tender.
- Drain the sweet potatoes well.
- Return the sweet potatoes to the pot. Add butter, maple syrup, salt, and pepper.
- Mash with a potato masher or fork until smooth and creamy.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use real maple syrup.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup to your liking.
