Description
Make fun, kid-friendly Mini Deep Dish Pizzas! These little pizzas bake up perfectly in muffin tins, giving you a thick, satisfying crust just like your favorite deep dish style. They are perfect for a quick dinner or a fun snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup mini pepperoni (optional)
- Toppings of your choice (e.g., chopped mushrooms, peppers)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a standard 12-cup muffin tin.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Separate the dough into 8 triangles.
- Press each dough triangle firmly into the bottom and up the sides of each muffin cup, forming a small crust pocket.
- Spoon about 1 teaspoon of pizza sauce into the bottom of each dough cup.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce in each cup.
- Add your desired toppings, like a few pieces of mini pepperoni, to the cheese.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the pizzas cool in the tin for 5 minutes before carefully removing them. Serve warm.
Notes
- You can use pre-made pizza dough if you prefer a thicker crust.
- For easy removal, you can line the muffin tin cups with small squares of parchment paper before adding the dough.
- Feel free to use your favorite sauce, such as pesto or Alfredo, instead of standard pizza sauce.
