Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper on a baking sheet.
- Roast for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are tender and slightly browned.
- While the sprouts roast, whisk together the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, and cornstarch in a small saucepan.
- Heat the sauce over medium heat, whisking constantly until it thickens slightly, about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Place the roasted Brussels sprouts in a large bowl. Pour the orange glaze over them.
- Toss gently until all the sprouts are evenly coated. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze for a little heat.
- If you don’t have fresh orange juice, use bottled, but fresh tastes best.
- For extra crispy sprouts, ensure you don’t overcrowd the baking sheet.
