Description

Make this rich, creamy dessert dip that tastes just like pecan pie filling. It requires no baking and is perfect for parties or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, divided
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
  2. Add the brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until fully combined and creamy.
  3. Fold in 1/2 cup of the chopped pecans.
  4. Transfer the dip mixture to a serving bowl. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  5. While the dip chills, prepare the praline topping. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Stir in the granulated sugar and heavy cream. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves and the mixture bubbles, about 2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining 1/2 cup of chopped pecans. Let this mixture cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
  8. Pour the warm praline pecan topping over the chilled dip.
  9. Serve immediately or keep chilled until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Serve this dip with graham crackers, apple slices, vanilla wafers, or pretzels for dipping.
  • You can make the base dip up to 2 days ahead. Keep it covered in the refrigerator. Add the topping just before serving.
  • For a deeper flavor, toast the pecans lightly before chopping and adding them to the dip or topping.
