Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 can (21 ounces) peach pie filling
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pecan halves, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour peach pie filling into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Spread evenly.
  3. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg over the pie filling.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the dry cake mix, chopped pecans, and brown sugar.
  5. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix mixture and stir with a fork until crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle the cake mix mixture evenly over the pie filling.
  7. Place pecan halves on top for garnish, if desired.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
