Description

Make this easy Peppermint Bark Fudge for a festive holiday treat. It features distinct layers and sets up quickly, making it perfect for busy times. You will love the simple steps and rich flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. Combine the sweetened condensed milk and white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth for the white layer.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and half of the crushed peppermint candies into the white chocolate mixture. Spread this mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  4. In a separate microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until completely melted and smooth for the dark layer.
  5. Gently pour the melted dark chocolate mixture over the white layer. Spread carefully to cover the white layer completely.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crushed peppermint candies over the top of the dark chocolate layer.
  7. Chill the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until firm enough to cut.
  8. Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into small squares.

Notes

  • For cleaner layers, let the white layer set slightly at room temperature before pouring the dark layer on top.
  • Use good quality white chocolate chips; they melt better.
  • You can substitute the heavy cream with an equal amount of butter for a slightly different texture in the dark layer.
