- 2 cups water
- 1 cup broccoli florets, fresh or frozen
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the rice: In a saucepan, combine the rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes, or until water is absorbed.
- Add broccoli: Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for another 3-5 minutes, until tender.
- Make it creamy: Stir in the butter and milk until melted and combined.
- Add cheese: Gradually add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until it’s completely melted and the rice is creamy.
- Season: Season with salt and pepper to your liking. Serve immediately.

- For a richer flavor, you can use half-and-half instead of milk.

- If using frozen broccoli, you may not need to cook it as long.
