Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 ounces goat cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Unfold the puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface.
- Score a 1/2-inch border around the edges of the pastry with a sharp knife, being careful not to cut all the way through. Prick the center of the pastry all over with a fork.
- Brush the scored border with the beaten egg wash.
- In a medium bowl, whip together the goat cheese, cream cheese, chopped rosemary, olive oil, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the whipped goat cheese mixture evenly over the center of the puff pastry, within the scored border.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.
- Let the tart cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can add a drizzle of honey over the finished tart for a touch of sweetness.
- Other herbs like thyme or chives can be substituted or added.
- For a richer flavor, you can add a clove of minced garlic to the goat cheese mixture.
