Description
Whip up this incredibly easy Sage Brown Butter Gnocchi in just 10 minutes. It’s a warm, comforting dish perfect for a quick fall meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
- 1 package (16-18 ounces) shelf-stable gnocchi
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh sage leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Melt butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and dried sage. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add gnocchi to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes, or until gnocchi are heated through and lightly golden.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, if using.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh sage leaves if desired.
Notes
- Ensure your skillet is large enough to hold the gnocchi in a single layer for even browning.
- You can use fresh sage instead of dried. Add a few fresh leaves to the butter and oil as it heats up, then remove before adding gnocchi.
- For a richer flavor, you can let the butter brown slightly before adding the garlic and sage. Watch it carefully to prevent burning.
