Description

Create a simple, irresistible Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark. This recipe delivers the perfect sweet and salty crunch for any occasion. It is easy to make and requires minimal effort for a huge payoff.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup caramels, unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 2 cups mini pretzels, broken slightly
  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Combine the semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Microwave chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until smooth.
  4. In a separate small, microwave-safe bowl, combine caramels and heavy cream. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir until smooth, then microwave for another 15 seconds if needed.
  5. Gently fold the broken pretzels into the melted chocolate mixture until evenly coated.
  6. Spread the chocolate-pretzel mixture onto the prepared baking sheet into an even layer.
  7. Drizzle the melted caramel mixture over the chocolate layer.
  8. Sprinkle the flaky sea salt evenly over the top.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until completely firm.
  10. Break the bark into irregular pieces before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container.

Notes

  • You can use all one type of chocolate if preferred.
  • For an extra layer of flavor, lightly toast the pretzels before using them.
  • Make sure your caramel is warm when drizzling so it spreads easily.
